New golf center brings year-round play to Weirton
Oct 12, 2026
WEIRTON — Golfers in the Ohio Valley no longer have to put their clubs away when cold weather arrives.
A new indoor golf facility on Three Springs Drive is giving players a chance to practice their swings, compete with friends and experience virtual courses without worrying about rain, snow or freezing temperatures.
Hosel Rockets Golf Center recently opened at 243 Three Springs Drive, Suite 16, adding another recreational and entertainment option to Weirton's business community.
City officials joined representatives of the Weirton Area Chamber of Commerce on Oct. 1 to celebrate the opening.
The center uses high-definition golf simulators that allow players to experience digital versions of courses while receiving feedback on their performance.
Rather than navigating an actual fairway, golfers hit balls toward a projection screen that recreates the course and tracks their shots.
The technology allows participants to practice, play a complete round or compete against friends regardless of the weather outside.
The facility is designed for both experienced golfers looking to improve their games and newcomers interested in trying the sport in a more casual setting.
Simulator bays can be reserved by the hour, allowing individuals or groups to schedule time for practice or recreation.
With its first full week of business behind it, Hosel Rockets is turning its attention to the upcoming winter season, including plans to organize golf leagues.
In a recent Facebook post, the business expressed appreciation for the community support it received during its opening week, thanking those who visited the facility as well as people who shared and interacted with its social media posts.
The business also shared a video recap of its grand opening and expressed optimism about the months ahead.
Now, organizers are asking area golfers to help shape the facility's winter league offerings.
Hosel Rockets has created an online questionnaire to gather input from prospective participants before finalizing league formats and schedules.
The business announced the initiative on Facebook, explaining that the responses would help organizers tailor the leagues to the interests of local golfers.
Winter league details are expected to be announced soon.
Those interested in providing input can complete the questionnaire at https://hoselrocketsgc.wixforms.com/f/7513241229056803848.
In addition to recreational play, Hosel Rockets offers services designed to help golfers improve their performance.
Swing evaluations provide information about a player's technique, while custom club-fitting services help match golfers with equipment suited to their individual swings.
Certified master club fitters offer fittings for drivers, irons, wedges and putters.
Membership options also are available, providing discounted simulator rates, access to leagues and other benefits.
For golfers accustomed to putting their clubs away when temperatures drop, the facility offers an opportunity to continue practicing throughout the fall and winter.
The indoor setting also provides a place for friends and families to enjoy a recreational outing without the limitations imposed by weather conditions.
Hosel Rockets Golf Center is open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 10 a.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday.
Reservations and additional information are available at www.hoselrocketsgc.com or by calling 304-224-1136.
